FLOOR -3
How does the Universe evolve?
What is its history and what will its end be?
How are the stars, galaxies and planets born and how do they die?
Cosmology can solve these questions. As a science, it was born in last century.
In 1929 the famous astronomer Edwin Powell Hubble announced to the world that he had made a shocking discovery about the Universe: galaxies are not fixed in space but instead move away from us! The discovery that the Universe is expanding and evolving has been one of the greatest intellectual revolutions of the last century: modern Cosmology was finally born.
Floor -3 introduces the visitor to the main themes and problems of modern cosmology. These themes include Einstein's space-time and General Relativity, as well as the possible future of the Universe, the mysterious cosmic microwave background, and the exotic dark matter and dark energy.
You can look the Big Bang echo, cycle among galaxy, watch gravitational lenses, discover the different ways in which the Universe can evolve: never-ending expansion or recollapse?
Unusual, amazing experiences.
