What is a Planetarium ?

The Planetarium is a sky simulator, what you see is not real but reconstructed.
It is based on two basic components: a projection system (optical – mechanical or digital) and a hemispherical dome.

The projection instrument installed in INFINI.TO's Museum is one of the ultimate generation and uses digital computer graphics (Digistar 3 of Evans and Sutherland).

Without moving from your chair you can see the sky at a certain hour in a particular place, or thanks to the innovative digital system you can even go on a wonderful journey through our galaxy and further on.
