PRESENTATION

Infini.to has been conceived as an educational and didactic centre of astronomy and space physics based on the most modern techniques to explain to the public the most advanced theories and knowledge of the Universe. From this prospect the location of the Museum and Planetarium next to the Astronomical Observatory of Turin is intended to promote a connection in between the space researchers and the public.

STRUCTURE

Infini.to represents a scientific and didactic initiative, ambitious and exciting, a conceptual link between the professional scientist and the "out of curiosity" scientist, between the scientific discovery and scientific divulgation. It combines one of the most advanced European Planetarium to an exhibition area ready to show the most recent discoveries of the modern astronomy.
The external structure of transparent glass represents a clear invitation to the visitor to observe the Universe. The red sphere (the Planetarium's cover) and the glass cone evoke a classical form of the Universe: a binary system where a supergiant star give up matter onto a black hole around which it orbits.

MUSEUM

Infini.to is a space where man's adventure in the Universe is made near and real: the visitors can discover the origin of space, understand what is made of and what forces move it, and see the space that is all around us.
Here science becomes a breathtaking experience, wonderful, amazing. start on the ground floor and go down three levels, reaching deeper into the secrets of the Universe.
Hypatia, Galileo, Lagrange, Hubble, Einstein, some of the most important scientists ever, will take the visitors on a journey through the milestones of science, from ancient times to today, from the expansion of the Universe to the Big Bang theory, from cosmic radiation to black holes.
On each of the three levels, interactive exhibit make you live scientific discoveries, and experience phenomena and effects.

PLANETARIUM

The visit plan will culminate at the digital Planetarium: sitting in an armchair, the visitors will be surrounded by endless spaces of the Universe for reliving the cosmos begin, visit planets, watch the sky far from light pollution and more over.

APRITICIELO

The joint venture wich manages Museum and Planetarium is composed by Institute National of Astronomy, University of Turin, Regione Piemonte, Provincia di Torino and Comune di Torino.
